We were really fortunate that our first vacation with Orelia went so well. I was pretty nervous leading up to the trip, but our girl rose to the occasion and did great. Most importantly, she managed to look cute in pictures.
The flight out was a breeze and she stayed on California time the entire trip - sleeping through the night every night. We, too, stayed on California time, which meant going to bed at 8 PM and waking up before the sunrise with our 4:30 AM alarm clock baby (which, honestly, was not my favorite part of the trip).
We didn't do any lounging around on the beach or at the pool, since it was easier to stick to the shade and not worry about burning O's almost translucent skin. We made lunch our big meal of the day so we could be home in time to put O to bed at 6:30, and I was surprised that we didn't really miss having big dinners. They serve fish tacos at lunch too, so I was set.
Overall, we had a fabulous time, and especially enjoyed getting to share the experience with my family. We can't wait to go again next year!
