Flora

Orelia received a beautiful picture book for her second birthday called Flora and the Flamingo.  We have read it occasionally for months, but at some point it dawned on her that Flora was wearing a pink bathing suit in the book.

She realized she also had a pink bathing suit, and therefore it had to be put on.  Now.

She joyfully galloped all over the kitchen and we read the book over and over.

And for about 48 hours she would wear nothing but a bathing suit and refused to leave the house (since that meant putting on clothes).  Sigh.

We quickly learned it was best to not let her get that bathing suit on, if we ever wanted to take it off again.

Flora has been hidden in the back shelf so as not to remind her to request her pink suit, we we have managed to let her only wear a bathing suit in the bath....for two weeks straight.
